As the biggest and longest-running meetings and events show in Canada, the CMEE gives event planners the chance to discover and meet with 200+ companies, gain relevant industry knowledge, and source new event ideas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meet the Person Behind the Magic<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Melissa Arnott oversees the successful delivery of tradeshows and conferences, including the CMEE, at Newcom Media Inc. And the Canadian Meetings and Events Expo brings together meeting planners of all kinds, independents, corporate, government, and together with suppliers. So those suppliers can be event suppliers, something like a caterer or an AV company, all the way up to destinations, both local and global. We discovered EventMobi a few years ago and immediately found that they were just easy to work with and they also enhanced our user experience both on the exhibitor side as well as the attendee side. The feedback we&#8217;ve received about the event app is that it&#8217;s easy to use and clear. They also love the fact that at Canadian Meetings and Events Expo, we have an appointments program and they can actually have all of their agenda right in the app. My favorite feature would be the map. I find it&#8217;s very easy to navigate. If I need to find an exhibitor on the show floor, I can click on that exhibitor and it&#8217;ll tell me exactly where to go. And of course, gamification is a great feature. It helps attendees really engage with our exhibitors and just get people moving through the show floor. So it&#8217;s a great way to get your attendees to move to those spots where they need a little bit more attention. Well, so far, I&#8217;ve just been playing the game, but I did check out the floor plan, that was nice how you can, like, zoom in and see, and it has, like, the street layouts and everything. That was really helpful to find. It&#8217;s my first time using it actually, but I like the colorway of it, and it, like, pops where it should. So it&#8217;s been really easy and nice on the eyes. I like the attendee list, the exhibitor list, and of course the play to win is very it&#8217;s great interactive. People are going towards technology and as much as we used to love those big thick show guides that we carried around and you know probably injured our shoulders, the event app is right in their hand and they can use it, can change their experience as they go, they can find information quickly. Negotiating their way around the app is easy and they can get up to date information. They can get push notifications if there&#8217;s a seminar going on and they&#8217;ve forgotten about it and they have to make their way to the stage. So it&#8217;s just really easy and it&#8217;s all in the palm of their hand. Maybe not one hundred percent, but maybe ninety nine percent of people have a mobile phone. Having that app for the conference is it&#8217;s right there. It&#8217;s kind of in your pocket. You don&#8217;t have to have your laptop on. You don&#8217;t really have to worry about draining battery, your app doesn&#8217;t take as much. So when we&#8217;re planning the event, we plan with the attendee experience in mind all the time. So what the app does is make us very aware of what that experience is going to be. So EventMobi is really enhancing that experience, again both on the exhibitor and the attendee side, and it&#8217;s making us, you know, planning the event easier to understand what that experience is going to be. As health and safety restrictions had eased, registrations were back to pre-2020 levels. Interactive Agendas<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Education sessions and workshops at the CMEE are designed to provide planners with powerful insights and learning opportunities to deliver better events and progress their careers. Increased Engagement Between Event Planners and Suppliers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With 563 Challenges completed and 59,700 total points collected, the \u2018Play to Win\u2019 gamification challenges were a clear favorite among spirited attendees. These statistics, paired with anecdotal feedback collected onsite, demonstrate that this engagement feature created an exciting and memorable attendee experience while driving relevant traffic to exhibitor booths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. A Positive User Experience<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Reactions from CMEE 2022 attendees were extremely positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;People are going towards technology.
